• Neutrals + textures = timeless: Soft tones like cream, tan, blush, and muted blues photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your family’s connection.

Here’s our promise: You don’t need “perfectly behaved” kids to get beautiful family photos.

We’ve seen it all—meltdowns, snack breaks, wild giggles—and it’s all part of the magic. Our photographers are pros at reading the room, getting genuine smiles, and keeping things fun and low-pressure. Sometimes the best shots come from the in-between moments!

Bring your child’s favorite toy or treat if you’d like—and trust us to meet them where they are.

3. When Is the Best Time to Schedule Our Family Portrait Session?

The best time to book your session depends on a few key things: your family’s schedule, the season, and how you plan to use your portraits.

• For Outdoor Sessions: Golden hour (the hour before sunset) is ideal for soft, glowing light that flatters everyone. If you’re thinking about fall colors or wildflower blooms, we’ll recommend the perfect time of year based on your location.

• For Studio Sessions: We have more flexibility! Mornings tend to work best for young kids, especially when they’re well-rested and fed.

• For Holiday or Gift Timing: Plan ahead! If you're hoping to have portraits ready for holiday cards or gifts, we recommend scheduling your session at least 6–8 weeks in advance to allow time for editing, image selection, and print orders.

Ultimately, the best time is when your family feels the most relaxed and ready—whether that’s a cozy winter morning or a breezy summer evening.

• Studio Sessions offer a clean, timeless look with no weather worries. They’re especially great for families with small children or anyone who wants a more classic, controlled environment.

We’ll help you choose a location that reflects your family’s style—whether that’s playful, elegant, cozy, or bold. We also take the time to chat with you during your consultation to get a sense of what setting fits best.

• Personalized Reveal Session: We’ll schedule a personalized reveal and ordering appointment where you’ll get to view the best images from your session. This is a chance to see your portraits come to life and choose your favorites with guidance from our team.
• Editing: Once you’ve selected your images, we carefully retouch and polish them to bring out the best in every shot—without making anyone look overly "edited."
• Prints & Products: You’ll have access to premium print options—from wall art and albums to keepsake boxes and framed gifts. We help you choose pieces that fit your home and lifestyle.
• In Studio Pickup: Once your portraits are finalized, we’ll carefully print and package them for you to pick up right at our studio. You’ll be the first to see your finished artwork in person—no shipping delays, no stress.
